Call it Quits
A dear friend of mine was recently informed that she was pregnant with her fourth child.
Shortly after receiving the news, one of her three young sons came to visit in our home. I asked him if he was excited about the prospect of a new addition to the family.
He expressed his pleasure with the idea of an added sibling, but then immediately displayed a solemn face. "Yes," he said, "another brother or sister will be fine, but I sure don’t like the name my parents have come up with."
Surprised, I inquired, "Oh, your parents have already chosen a name?"
Disgruntled, he slowly explained, "I heard my parents talking about the new baby. They said whether it was a boy or a girl, they were definitely going to call it "Quits".
